Hello Free Realms players! This week’s update has a ton of great info so let’s get started…
Helicopter Pet Pal
That’s right, your very own Helicopter Pet that will follow you through the world of Free Realms. It is a new pet that has some cool animations and really stands out in a crowd. Look for it in the marketplace this week!
New Welcome Screen Design!
We took a few minutes and ran some tracking data on the current welcome screen. It turns out that there is way too much information being presented to the players. Since it is the first thing that players see when they join the game we decided to streamline this screen. The new direction is much more focused and allows us to communicate what is happening in the game easier. We are still working on it and it won’t be out this week but I thought a sneak peak would be kind of cool!
Free Realms has been a blast!!!
I have been a part of the SOE family for many years and in that time I have had the opportunity to work on many different titles. I can honestly say that Free Realms was one of my favorites! The freedom to create amazing new content, the constant communication with the players and the development team are just a few of the great parts of what makes Free Realms an amazing game. I am moving onto a new project internally at SOE and will be handing off my responsibilities to the new producer Steve George. He has actually been on the Free Realms team for quite some time and was a critical part of helping me during these last few months. He has a great eye for new content and the direction that Free Realms should be moving in. I am happy with the change I was able to bring to the game and I am confident that Steve will continue to listen to all of you and improve. You all rock and keep up the great feedback, just keep it constructive!
